It normally is here are X amount of bills and here is X amount of money. How can you juggle the money to pay the more important bills? A real budget will give you a strategy to meet your daily expenses and still put aside a little bit for later. So the first thing to do is go over what you need to pay, what can be delayed until later, or even better payed in smaller pieces. This will give you a realistic view of what you can do. Then look at what you have paid in past Christmases. Looking at bank statements or credit card bills will help you with that. Line up what you expect to spend with what you earn and make the hard decisions. It might mean cutting back on some luxury in everyday expenses or replacing a holiday tradition with a cheaper alternative. The point is reconcile and then start a savings plan. If you need extra cash try to find small things you can do now in the fall to earn that extra saved income and keep it saved.

Without Santa Claus, there can be no Christmas, at least not in the United States. He is everywhere during the silly season. We have him filled with air and sitting on the lawn, we have him painted on windows. We have Santa Claus letters sitting in the house and Santa himself riding in parades. But even with the letters from Santa Claus, the thing we can’t escape from is the songs. Some of them are older than others but these have all become classics.
There is no doubt that one Santa song really rules the roost. It was written in 1934 by someone (some ones, there were 2 writers). The day after it was first performed on the radio there were orders for 100,000 copies of the sheet music. By Christmas that year it was at 400,000 and this was during the Great Depression! Since then it has been recorded once or twice. Well, by over 90 artists and not all ones that you would really expect. It has been done by Alice Cooper, Aerosmith, the California Raisins, Cyndi Lauper with Frank Sinatra, Dokken, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Partridge Family, Smothers Brothers, and Miley Cyrus just to name a few. It is the song that tells the story of Santa just as we know it. You could be from outer space and learn most of what you need to know about American Christmas lore just from this one song. The phase “making a list and checking it twice” now is used to mean being through.

This Christmas parents are looking out for the hot trends in toys and gifts for children. This year there are many great toys that will out on the market. The interesting thing is that many new trends are going to be easier on parents’ wallets. That is because many retailers have been hurt in by the economic downturn and see the Holiday Shopping Season as the best time to recoup their losses. This makes this the perfect opportunity to get many of the items on your children’s wish list that you ordinarily may not be able to purchase. Here are some the trends that will be available this year.
A big trend to watch out is the miniaturization of popular toys and games. This is an effort for toy companies to still offer brand name toys but at reduced prices. A great example are handheld versions of popular games like BopIt and Yahtzee. This is something to look out for. So if you happen to see a smaller version of a toy your kids were looking for then make sure to get it while you can.

Kids electric scooters are a fashionable and growing trend with both parents and youngsters alike. Children really get energized about having a their own little private mode of transportation. Parents can get a lot of satisfaction by picking out a gift for their youngsters that will be enjoyed again and again.
Scooters like the e200 scooter are appreciated and used by kids of all ages. There are scooters designed specifically for kids of all age groups. It doesn’t matter if the the child is two years old or over 16 years old, there are wonderful scooters and ride-on toys for them to enjoy. Kids scooters are on the market in a assortment of styles, colors and sizes.
Certain scooters are kicked or pushed by foot and others are electric motorized type scooters. Motor scooters may be a bit scary to some more cautious parents. But generally, these parents are a bit fearful because they have very limited knowledge about these type of toys or how to locate safe and age-appropriate models.

As Christmas comes each year we settle in to our Christmas traditions that are unique to this country. Some are quite odd, like mall stampede the day after Thanksgiving, but others are classics. There are Christmas trees, eggnog, and letters from Santa Clause. These are the things that we just have to have every year to make Christmas complete. Even children know you must have a Christmas tree and Santa Clause letters. But in places around the world it is celebrated differently but the general theme remains the same.
Japan, for instance, was not introduced to Christianity till much later than the West. But when Christian missionaries brought the religion to Japan, Santa came along for the ride. There he melded with a Japanese god, Hoteiosho, who was always pictured as a kind old man carrying a pack and that became their Santa. What is the one big difference between our Santa and theirs? Theirs has eyes in the back of his head! It is closer than India has gotten as it is a Hindu and Muslim country. They do have a period of gift giving about the same time and give baksheesh, gifts to the poor. The few Christians there do, however, decorate Christmas trees, but because of the climate they don?t look like ours. They use mango and banana trees.

Christmas time is getting close and the North Pole has shifted into high gear. The elves are pushing out toys at full steam, the reindeer are working out in the reindeer gym to get ready for the trip, and the North Pole Post Office is stuffed with each child’s Santa letter that needs to be sent out. The children can’t go without the letters from Santa. The North Pole is in a state of complete pandemonium. You household could be in that same shape if you don’t plan ahead a bit to avoid the Christmas rush.
Prior Proper Planning Prevent Poor Performance. That is very true. Christmas never “sneaks up” on anybody. It’s the same day every year so just plan for it and you will avoid those headaches you get from waiting till the last minute. Christmas cards and letters are an obvious place to start. By the end of October you already know who you will be sending cards to. Of course it is too early to send them but not too early to address them and even sign them. Many families include a little form letter giving an update on what the family has been up to. Those can be added when you mail them to make sure they are up to date, but the family pictures can be ordered and ready to go in with the letter.
