Your Car As A Marketing Tool: It’s Your Own Mobile Billboard

The top and foremost marketing strategy and priority of any businessman out there is to see the easiest way in which he can advertise his business extensively. You do not have to spend millions of dollars to get the sort of potential customers your business – and a future bulging bank balance – needs. Instead, you need to focus upon easy ways in which you can get people who know more about your business and the services that you are going to provide them.

As a small business owner, you obviously have a relatively small advertising budget. One thing you can do to advertise your business for next to nothing is to have bumper stickers printed up and place one on your own vehicle.

This simple step turns your vehicle into a mobile billboard which can reach potential customers everywhere you go. It’s not a new idea, but it’s one which has proven its worth over the years – that’s why race cars are always completely covered with advertisements and company logos, after all.

Of course you wouldn’t want to cover your entire vehicle with stickers. All you really need to get people to notice is one attractive bumper sticker.

How many traffic lights do you have to wait for on your commute to work? Chances are that you have to wait for at least four each way. On average, you’ll spend a minute waiting at each of these intersections; plenty of time for drivers behind you to see your bumper sticker and read it, perhaps remembering your business. If you take the same route every day, you’ll probably also be seen by the same drivers again and again – who will then remember your business when they’re in need of what your business offers.

A bumper sticker also tells everyone who sees it that you’re proud of what you do – and of course, tells them where to find you when they need what you offer.

Any savvy business owner will take care to park their car with their bumper stickers visible to passersby whenever possible. Since most people can’t help but notice and read these stickers, you can get your name out even when you’re parked!

For the small business owner, a stationary billboard is often not a great option. These billboards are costly and they are often placed alongside many others, which makes it harder for them to stand out. A mobile billboard offers a much larger chance of your potential customers seeing your message. If you want to stand out and reach your target markets, you need to advertise in creative ways which really get people’s attention.

If you drive often, then keep the value of a simple bumper sticker in mind. Every street, every traffic light and every parking place is another opportunity to reach consumers and build your business.
